The last Art From The Heart Workshop this year

All members of the group worked very hard and that made it extremely difficult to choose what to post so I finally came down to two that on the right is by Carol, which was inspired by music. It is as you can see a very free piece of work with a quality of innocence that usually comes only from those in touch with their inner child.

I have also posted a very interesting piece by Mark, which is on the right, as you can see is completely different. It is interesting to muse how music influences people in different ways. Equally so was all the work produced that day including the following beautiful pieces done in a group. These groups are producing more and more inspired verse and proses, which it would be nice to incorporate one day into a book.

Feel the emotions and set them free
Keep only what’s important to thee
Decide what true and see it thru
Waste no time with past troubles
Release and let go, as we own nothing
Let light and love be in your heart
And let nothing else keep you apart

As some of you may know we have started facilitating "Sound Healing Workshops" incorporating colour with tibetan bowls, rainsticks and other ancient musical instruments. We are going to be running a course early in the new year in East London. This will be a series of five one day workshops studying in depth how colour can enhance healing and be used in everyday life to give healing, help with studying skills and improve life. I myself meditate on green to lower my blood pressure. Details of all courses will be published before the end of the year and for those who are iinterested there is a one day workshop at the Seekers Trust in Kent on the 11th February 2012. We are also planning on a beginner course a series of four hours to fit in with those who would rather not be out at night or have children. On Sunday we will be at one of our favourite places the Seekers Trust in Kent. We will not be holding a workshop, but at the Craft Fair selling our power animals and other knitted goodies. After the craft fair we will be making our to the new Spiritual Friends Centre in Sevenoaks located for those of you who are interested is St.John Hall, Chatham Hill Road, Sevenoaks, Kent, TN14 5AP. Doors open from 7pm and the continues until 10pm. Its a Sound Healing Workshop by the way.

We are holding a Sound Healing Workshop on February 11th 11am - 4.30pm at the Small Meeting Room. Then in July we will be hoding an Angel Workshop the day before Rose Day.

Art From the Heart at South Woodford National Spiritualist Church

Last Sunday there was a very successful workshop at the above church and all participant worked very hard producing a lot of inspiration prose and pictures some of which we are posting here. The first piece of prose is called:

Love the Passion and Flame of Life

The magical feeling of a touch or a sigh, when the angels stand by.

Allow the waterfall to cleanse your spirit, protecting yourself on your road to enlightenment.

Unconditional love blossoms forth.

Forgive...............Let the past be the past.

As the rainbow snakes up through the garden,

Speak up let your voice be heard my friends

Through the bleak dark forest the truth emerges here

Just be yourself and bring your heart and soul near.

Help - I need somebody, no shame release

The pain...embrace the pain as beyond it is change

We flow through the energy fields that are all around

They mould and shape us

We evolve do not stand in the way of change, instead embrace and trust.

Procrastination's there is not

Our next workshop at Woodford is on the 9th October and the last one was very exciting as we explored psychic art via encaustic wax. Some amazing images were produced and I will be photographing these as soon as possible and posting them on here. I have also added a detail of one of the encaustic wax pictures from the last Art From the Heart workshop at Woodford. Don't forget we are there once a month with our afternoon development groups which are really mini workshops. We are also leasing a "Sound Healing with Colour and Music" workshop at Woodford on the 15th October - noon to 3 pm. Cost £6 non members and £5 members. See their website site www.woodfordchurch.com. We will keep you up to date with these and other workshops we are doing. We are very pleased to have been invited to a new spiritual centre which is opening in Sevenoaks and we will be taking a workshop there on the 20th November in the evening following the Christmas Craft Fair at the Seekers Trust. and is called "Spiritual Friends Independent Spiritual Centre and I understand that Mary and Bonnie are hoping to have lots of events including workshops. Before 2012

We are determined by the end of the year to have established our own spiritual and alternative centre before the commence of 2012, which we have now decided to call "The Purple Lady and Rainbow Healing Sanctuary". We still have not settled on a location, but are looking at various options as well as finding other ways of raising cash. We will be taking bookings for our weekend retreats and workshops in January and we require deposits of £30 for the weekend. This deposit can be paid by paypal by emailing patanddan@hotmail.co.uk. Final amount payable a month before the retreat. The next weekend at the Seekers is in April and at the moment we are proposing a mini holistic fayre on the Friday plus two workshops and an Evening of Clairvoyance plus an hour of Trance and Experimental Transfiguration. The mediums confirmed at the moment are Maggie (see [picture) and Martin Jones, Daniel Naughnane and Patricia Mc Nally. We are also holding another retreat in September on the 16th/17th/18th which will comprise the following two workshops plus an evening of clairvoyance and an evening of transfiguration. The mediums for this event are al confirmed and they are Alan Bray, Haydn Clarke, Daniel Naughane and myself. What's Happen in March

The first event for the weekend will be a mini holistic fayre on Friday afternoon, where you will be able to get a taster treatment and readings. Entry price will be on two levels £10 will gain you entrance and two taster sessions these can be readings or treatments the choice will be yours plus a tea/coffee and biscuits or entrance at £2 which will give you entrance and a tea/coffee and biscuits. You can then choose whether you want a reading or treatment. These prices are obviously for those on not booked in on the entire weekend and then it will be included in the price. Either Friday or Saturday there will be an Evening of Clairvoyance with two mediums one of which will be Maggie Jones (Maggie will also be doing readings at the holistic fayre. There wil also be an evening of trance on the evening of trance on the free evening with Daniel Naughane (also channeling messages for you on the Friday afternoon)Maggie and Martin Jones (Martin is also at the fayre. On Saturday there will be a Shamanic Workshop with Les and Jacci Fuller and on Sunday a day to create your own oracle or meditation cards with encaustic waxes. Charity Event

On 19th March a event was organised in support of Iftikhar Ahmed our local pharmacist who is undertaking a trek from the foothills of Everest to the first base camp for The British Heart Foundation. The afternoon started with a mini holistic fayre with several readers and therapists. It was followed in the evening with clairvoyance with popular medium Maggie Jones who gave excellent evidence which uplifted all those present. Shirlee who owns Wicca Moon generously donated an Angel Bible towards our free raffle. Although only £75 was raised everyone said it had been such a lovely day full of love and laughter it was still worthwhile. We are hoping to organise another plus a talk for the same cause.

Our next event Earth Journey will be held at the Seekers Trust on the weekend of the 9th/11th April. It is a weekend of workshops with medium and shaman Les Fuller, Brenda Diskin, Daniel Naughnane and myself plus an Evening of Psychic Art and Clairvoyance with Stevie Robinson and Haydn Clarke who have appeared on Living Television as well as German Television

In October the Seekers Trust was our chosen venue for the weekend with spirit, which comprised a series of workshops. The first of these was led by Amanda John " A Dance with Spirit" Workshops. This was followed by an evening of spirit communication with Maggie Jones and Alf Hunt. The next morning a sound healing workshop led by sixities icon Julie Felix. Wonderful. Then in the afternoon another workshop with Daniel Naughnane communicating with nature through the Inner Eye followed by an evening of trance. Finally on Sunday a workshop on Colour in intuition and healing led by myself. A really un packed hardworking weekend.

Man of the Wood

Last Saturday we held our first workshop at the Ringway Centre. A lovely venue with a very special energy. We had a lovely group who really blended so well together and filled the room with a very gentle energy of unconditional love. One of the pieces of work produced can be seen here. The picture on the right is a piece of spiritual art, which as yet has never been placed. No doubt in the future this will go to someone, but meanwhile I have taken this opportunity to share it with everyone. As you know most of the art and inspirational offerings on here are by people who have attended courses. On the left there is another piece and this will be given to the recipient tomorrow. This inspirational piece was done on our last workshop by Suzie Cooper. It indeed reflects Matisse and those of you who know this artists work will be able to see the similiarity. It was a very successful workshop. Even more so as at one time(in fact several days before) seemed unlikely to be. Just to tell everyone that we have set up two new groups one on FACEBOOK and the other on blog catalog. You are all welcome to join these groups just request permission. I have kept them limited to entry by request so we do not get any crank input. Hopefully they will take off with discussions and questions. Scruppyhippo has set a very intersting task on the discussion board of Spiritual Doorways and there are more on Doorways to Spirit. So why not join in. We are also thinking of setting up a group to manifest our centre. See Scruffys link on facebook. We are sure you will find his blog interesting and informative.

Having had such encouraging comments from my last two picture I am being really cheeky and adding two more. These comments have really encouraged me. At last I have found a means to express myself. Being dyslexic is not fun. I have to ask for everything to be checked to make sure I have spelt it correctly. These pictures have helped me do just that. I know I have been inspired by something or someone. Whatever it is it feels good. Anyone who reside in the UK and is dyslexic should try this course. Great stuff!! What is really interesting if you look at my earlier work on the blog it is totally different. Once again thank you for your comments and I hope you will be as kind again.

Since attending the workshops I have started to experiment with various images and designs. These are totally different to my usual style of drawing and almost graphic. The colours are more varied and vibrant than I would usually use and I honestly say these drawings feel as if they are inspired from some part of me that I am still building an ongoing relationship with.

Pat led us through a wonderful meditation about daffodils and asked us to think about what the most important thing was that we wanted to accomplish in the immediate future that we may have been putting off... we were then instructed to draw what we had seen in our visualisation and this is the result of mine... I have wanted to create a Myspace site for my songs for a while and since I did this meditation and picture, I have actually created it!

We have been looking for new ways to improve our workshops in order to give students other tools to work with creatively. This print was created by making a cardboard plate. This is a techique we will be passing on to learners at our future workshops.

This was my first workshop with Pat & Daniel and was very unsure as to what was going to happen. It goes to prove that you can be yourself and the spirits will lead the way. This was to be such a big learning curve for me on this workshop and everyone was lovely. The atmosphere was superb. The workshop was enjoyable and fun. The seekers trust is a wonderful relaxing place and is somewhere I would definately go back to again. Thank you Pat & Daniel for the weekend and see you soon.

I asked Daniel to produce an image for our new workshop posters. This is it and it really represents "Art From the Heart" two hearts beating as one whilst they dance magically in each others arms. To me this represents that once in a lifetime moment when magically you find the one who is your soul mate. Someone special to share your life and dreams with.

Last Sunday at the Seekers Trust in Kent a very spiritual lady called Liolah came to the workshop and this is an example of one of the beautiful images she produced. This mass of purple to me presence new spiritual beginnings. A rebirth with such pure light waiting to burst forth and illuminate her path. It will be enlightening to see if others share my opinions of this image.

This image on the right is quite magical and has the feel of a Chinese Brush painting, although this was not the method use. Quite delicate and inspirational and in contrast on the left the beautiful rose, which to me represents unconditional love a butterfly in flight for transformation. These two pictures again were inspired and like the previous two painted by Gloria Alexander. Quite lovely.

These inspirational pictures were created by Gloria Alexander whilst attending the Art From the Heart weekend courses at the Britton Centre. Again each piece has a special quality. I asked Gloria if she could put some of her work on the blog, as we felt it was very powerful. As she has not access to the internet at the moment, we have added them and also as she did not give them titles I will give you my feelings on them, but we would be interested to know what your interpretations are. The painting on the right to me represents water lapping gently against the rocks and that on the left fire burning so brightly it fills the sky with it warming glow. We will be interested to hear your comments on these images.

Although I am one of the tutors on this course many of the exercises involve pairwork, when the numbers are odd I will join in on the meditations and will produce work inspired by it, so that the person left without a work partner has an opportunity to take part.

The image to the right was produced after a guided meditation taking us to a point of transformation.

As you can see this image is completely different from the two collages and it has a delicate feel to it. I like it because at the time it conveyed the meditation perfectly. You meet some very interesting and spiritual people on these workshops. It has showed me lots of new things and given me different ideas.

Each time I go on a workshop I do not know what to expect. What I am always sure of is that I will enjoy it and have a lovely time in good company.

For some reason these workshops seem to draw very spiritual people who are on a voyage of self discovery. Thank you Pat and Daniel for all your help and guidance. My path now seems closer.

I look forward to the next workshop.

These are two of the collages I created in a workshop I attended with Pat and Daniel. I really enjoy these workshops and look forward to them. I have found they have boosted my confidence. Especially as I suffer from dyslexia. These have helped me to express myself more fully.
Hopefully, I will be able to attend more of these and produce different kinds of work. I will show you some more of the work I have done in my next post.

Moving in

Lying here in this single bed

With New Year thoughts running thoughts filling my head

I feel the joy and I know the pain

Of sharing my world with someone again

Tomorrow night we will be sharing knives and forks

Each others caring and so my idle thoughts alight

On last years many wrongs and rights

Those first moments when I met you, how our love grew

Now I think I understand your need to have a steady hand

Peaceful as you always are

You taught me patience from afar

Time to see reality, ask if this was meant to be

Laid my cards out on the table

Asked you if you felt this able

Moving through the tense divide

Approaching from a different side

Found each other in the middle
