Medical Mayhem

Totally sorry for  the lack of communication on here, but I had what I would describe as a medical emergency with my warfarin, which took from around 11.15 on Friday evening till 7.30 on Saturday morning,  Consequently we were in no fit state to attend or even open up for Mike Matthews nor attend the evening with Ray Prendergast. Nevertheless I did hear good reports in regard of this. My other decision was whether or not to cancel West Wickham, but decided it would be unfair to wait until Sunday to cancel if I was still feeling grim . At this stage our felting course hung in the balance as I had no whether I would be attending it.  As fate decreed I felt a bit better on Sunday and decided  we would be ok, but  I will add by the time I returned to Bromley South I was totally shattered.  I am so glad we didn't miss it though as we met a delightful lady of 100 years old who was full of vitality.  I do hope we encounter her again with her daughter Jane Furst.  Incidentally the open studios is well worth a visit and Intra has some interesting pieces.  I can also recommend Faye Luminesense Lambs's workshops in Rochester take a look at Unravel and Unwind.  Faye's next workshop on felting is on the 4th August and I believe it starts vat 2 pm and finishes around 4.30 pm so come and join us

Our next event is on Monday 15th July at 2 pm and we are very excited about it as some of the closed circle newbies will be joining us on the platform. So if you are free please come and join us at Woodford Spiritualist Church (www.woodfordchurch.com), 

Following this our next workshop is at Epping in our usual venue with Alan Albiston and we will be giving more details in one of the next posts.  Its bound to be as very popular workshop and is on the 20th July at 1.30 pm (don't forget the doors will open at 1 pm for tea and biscuits).  Some of the work bottom right is Faye's and this picture does not do it justice, but will give you a wee idea. 

Hopefully I won't be as tarde with my next update.  Watch out for details of the MBS Fair at Little Ilford Spiritualist Church in the East End of London soon. Its on 28th July and we will be attending as will Liz Gale and Nigel Irvine.   

Latest News

Thank goodness its cooled down a little and a wee it lower in our opinion would be better still. We are looking forward to the workshop on Saturday with Mike Matthews.  Everyone welcome whatever level and the start time is 12 noon until 4 pm plus the cost is only £5 and £6 for non-members (or you can make yourself a member for just £5 a year). The title of the workshop is "Your Pathway to Mediumship". Following this in the evening is a demonstration of mediumship with Raymond Prendergast in aid of the church funds, which starts at 7 pm admission just £3.  On Sunday we are the mediums at West Wickham Church for their divine evening service at 6.30 pm  but before that we will be in Rochester at Faye Luminesence Lamb at Intra for a felting course in wet felting, which starts at 2 pm, until 4.30 pm and I believe there might still be places on the workshops.  Just look up Intra in Rochester for a list of different workshops. 

Tomorrow evening we are at Woodford Church with the closed circle as well as the Progressive Awareness Circle to which everyone is welcome (www.woodfordchurch.com), which starts at 7 pm and do have a look at the up and coming workshops with various mediums some of which are new at the church, 

Our next workshop at Epping is on the 20th July and the doors will open at 1 pm for meet and greet followed by the workshop itself at 1.30 pm.  It is with popular medium Alan Albiston so watch out for details in our future posts.  The above butterfly cards was one of the things we won at the Wool and Textile Festival last Sunday. 

We are getting on a bit better with our intention list as more de-cluttering has been done this week and we have started learning Tunisian crocheting.  I have also got the idea for one new spiritual workshop, which will be completely different to anything else we have ever done.

Rethinking Intentions

Welcome to July and I must admit I am pleased the weather has cooled down a little, which was a blessing yesterday at the Wool and Textile Festival at the Woodlands Farm Trust,  We had a brilliant day and are pleased with the results.  I felted an apple and Daniel an apple and a strawberry with Mec and Marcia from(http://www.yarnarama.org/)  We then went and join Sylvia Becker (www.hookedoncrochet.net) for the Tunisian Crochet and learnt enough to start practising.  I will add both Mec and Sylvia are excellent tutors.  Unfortunately we didn't get time for the origami, but maybe on another occasion we will.  I also purchased a free form brooch from Sylvia, which I will photograph and put on my next post. The picture top right is Marcia who is hard at work crocheting.

On Saturday we were at Wicca Moon on a "pop up" pendulum workshop with Shirlee Moon as it is always interesting to see how someone else teaches a subject you are also teach and we had an excellent afternoon as well as making a couple of purchases as you can see top right (www.wiccamoon.org,uk).  Do watch

out for more of Shirlee's pop up workshops and be aware we are planning some too.  

This coming Thursday we will be at Woodford with our closed circle and Progressive Awareness Group.  Every one is welcome to the latter both of which start at 7 pm until 8.30 pm (www.woodfordchurch.com).  Do also be aware there are other open circles at the church run by John Jenkins and Sharon Law as well as workshops and short courses such as the course being run by Paul Bathgate.  On Saturday there is s workshop with Michael Matthew, but more about that in our next post as well as other revelations.  We will also be reviewing a super CD by Reg Miles watch out in our next couple of posts.

We decided to rethink our intentions after looking at what hadn't been done plus continuing with those which had been accomplished and here is our combined list, which we will now check every month and I must say our de - cluttering is not doing at all well.  Lets see how these go.

Intentions not accomplished

We hope everybody is enjoying the weather.  I must admit its far too hot for me.  We have nothing much in the pipeline re workshops ourselves at the moment, although I keep thing about a pop up workshop and also I would like to participate in the craftanoon for Mind.Uk, but need a venue preferably in East London.  The pop up workshop could be any venue which is suitable. 

We would like to remind you that Alan Albiston will be doing a workshop for us on the 20th July in Epping and I really do think we are so fortunate in being able to hire such a lovely space.  Our afternoon workshops seem to be doing well in as much as they are being enjoyed and better still the participants are learning different tools even if some are very basic.  The photograph on here above on the left is from the afternoon with water scrying and I wonder what you can see.  This was part of the workshop, but what was left when Daniel cleaning the herbs away from the bowl, which we both found quite interesting.  We intend to go on with various mini workshops like this using tools for both intuition and linking into spirit.

I decided today to take a look at our intentions which were set earlier this year and I am afraid we are not doing too well as so far Daniel has accomplished numbers 4, 6, 9 .  and 11.  Mine are worse so far numbers 2, 4 and 7

Firstly I would like to wish everyone a blessed Solstice and a welcome to the sun.  We are having such strangle weather it is almost monsoon. 

It seems to be a time of decision and we cannot decided whether we ought to branch out to different venues and let the Rainbow Healing Sanctuary be one of movement, but it is of course finding suitable economic venues as hiring a space can be somewhat costly. We will keep you updated. 

We would like to remind you we have a workshop tomorrow at Epping at our usual venue in the peace of the "Friends Meeting House"  in Hemnall Street, which will be facilitated by Daniel Naughnane and a few meditations by your truly.  So remember Saturday 22nd of June at 1.30 (doors open at 1 pm). It will be a very relaxing day which we hope will release a lot of stress and connect you to Mother Earth.  I believe Sharon Law has a workshop at Woodford to on Saturday and if you are free on the Jeanie Jackson has a workshop on 23rd again at Woodford. Tuesday afternoon we will be having our mini workshop which will start at 3.30 pm and finish at 6.30 pm, which will be water readings some something for everyone.  Our Progressive awareness group and our closed circle will be then too.   So please take a look at the website. I would also like to share the following  piece of prose, which was produced by one of our closed circle Carol Winmill.  It's excellent and I must add we are very proud of our students who have worked very hard to attain the level they are at now.

 We are really looking forward to taking them on the platform with us on Monday 15th July and as I have told them no pressure if they get messages great and if not it they can feel what it is like with a congregation. 

I am also very pleased with the bowl above and I would like to thank Faye Luminesence Lamb from  Unravel and Unwind.  Incidentally she will be having another workshop on July 7th in Rochester, which we are hoping to get too.  In my next post I will be mentioning about events at Woodlands Farm next weekend, which are taking place over the whole weekend including felting and Tunisian crocheting.  More news of that in next post.

 

 

 

 

 

Felting and other things

Our Progressive Awareness Group is now meeting every week but on alternate Tuesdays and Thursdays.  This Tuesday coming we will be the first of our Tuesdays and the day will start with a mini workshop "Getting Back to Basics"
The classes start at 11.30 in the morning and we will be there until 8.30 in the evening on those days so our timetable will be as follows.  As I said its  starting tomorrow that is our Progressive Awareness Group [plus our closed circle (www.woodfordchurch.com)

The following is our timetable for this month

Tuesday 11th June  11.30 am to  2.30 pm           3.30 pm to 6.30 pm

Circles both days same time  7.00 pm  to 8.30 pm
 Thursday 20th June  just evening circle times as above

I will be announcing dates here every month as they may vary depending on numbers.  I am never sure how many people can attend during the day, but we thought it gave those unable to attend in the evening the opportunity. 

Also on the 20th June at Woodford Spiritualist Church is am afternoon in aid of the church charity, which is the air ambulance and the medium will be Mike Matthews so do come along and support it.  Starts at 2 pm and entrance is £3 (see church website www.woodfordchurch.com).

Our next event at Epping is on the 22nd June and will be starting at 1.30 pm, but the doors will open half an hour before this for met and greet (all levels welcome). 

The two pictures on here are from our trip to Rochester last weekend.  The one at the top is Rochester Castle and the one on the right is of two people obviously off to the Dickens Festival, which is held annually and well worth a visit.  We were there however on a felting course with Faye Luminesence Lamb and we will hopefully be back there on 7th July all being well for her next class. You saw Daniel's beautiful creation last week well this is mine above on the left.     

 

 

New challenges

It certainly has turned warm and I from my own point of view I will feel much better when the weather has cooled down.  I know lots of you relish this weather sorry guys I don't has my poor legs have taken a battering.

Just a reminder to say this month we start our new all day workshops this month and everybody is welcome. Our circles starting tomorrow 6th of June.  We will be doing alternate weeks that is to say one week Thursday evening and the next Tuesday evening.  plus a series of workshops on the Tuesday once a month, which will encompass a whole range of subjects including auras, colour, pendulums, scrying including  water readings and sand readings  etcetera including of course linking with spirit. The classes start at 11.30 in the morning and we will be there until 8.30 in the evening on those days so our timetable will be as follows.  As I said its  starting tomorrow that is our Progressive Awareness Group and our closed circle (www.woodfordchurch.com)

Don't forget also Paul Bathgate has a six week course starting on the 11th June at 7.30 to 8.30.  Totally different to what we are teaching.  Only£3 a session and I know Paul will make you very welcome.  Note also the church has healing on Wednesdays and two services during the week with a different medium each time.  I believe popular Alan Albiston and Mike Matthews both have workshops on the 15th June and details of these will be in a later post. 

We enjoyed our felting course with Faye Luminesence Lamb in Rochester and we are certainly looking forward to the next one in July. You can see from above picture Daniel made a beautiful goddess for me.  Lets hope we don't have transport problems coming back.  As it hasn't been our week transport wise.  Having got stuck on the Central Line for 40 minutes in the heat during an unfortunate incident and then having a train cancelled when we arrived at Swanley on Sunday. 

I am also thinking of knitting some more shamanic rattles if anyone is interested as the colours add to the vibration.
