Hearts for Hospitals

As you know we have been knitting hearts to put out into the world once the virus has disappeared or they have found something to halt its progress. We are quite curious to know whether this one on the left was ever claimed or is it still sitting there waiting for an owner. We now understand several hospitals are asking that those that knit, crochet, sew or felt could make a pair of hearts one to be given to the patient and the other to be given to the family.  I am now seconding this plea and on my previous post you will see one and now a hospital in Surrey are asking for the same thing. I intend to continue with my own project, but also knit a pair of hearts for each hospital I see asking for them. I feel this way thr combined efforts will put out a positive message plus a loving vibration into the world.  The address of the second one I have seen is as follows:- Palliative Care Team, Easr Surrey Hospital, Canada Avenue, Redhill, Surrey RH1 5RH. I have also messaged our local hospital to ask them to consider doing this plus asking Alex to see what she can organise in this area. I will where possible print any new pleas as soon as I hear of them.
Meanwhile I will continue with my own heart project as well as trying to organise future workshops at Epping as I for one have been missing the teaching as well as the workshops. It hard to know when we will all be back to some normality. I am aiming towards the end of May or into June.  I intend to ask Alan Albiston, Michael Redwin, Lucya Starza adding that Elizabeth Gale is already booked as well as Les Jacky Fuller. All being well we will open with a Sound Healing Workshop with both myself and Daniel Naughnane dedicated to the late Julie Felix (with tears in my eyes as I write this as we are still coming to terms with it). If any of you have any ideas regarding other workshops please comment in the box below.  We are always open to suggestions. I am still trying to arrange some online group either via What’s A or Zoom. I hope you will all have a restful weekend without any stress and normal activities will be resumed soon. May Great Spirit bring abundance and blessings. Meanwhile keep in contact and keep safe.

I got this from yet another hospital who would like hearts. Please see my blog post of the 7th April to how the Can anyone knit or crochet? I will add felt or sew

I am a Palliative Care nurse at East Surrey Hospital and our team have a special request!

Due to Covid-19 and the restrictions in place, patients who are reaching the end of their life are not allowed to have their loved ones with them when they die. All staff are finding this challenging and I cannot imagine the distress this is causing for families, loved ones, friends.

We would like little (approx 6.5cm) pairs of hearts to be knitted / crocheted to give to all patients who sadly pass away and a duplicate heart will be sent out to their family.

If you are able to help us, lots of hearts would be gratefully received.

You can either contact me directly where I can collect hearts from your doorstep or they can be posted:
