We have had some very sad news this month. Our friend Barbara Barnes passed peacefully in her sleep. She used to run the “Island of Light” on the Isle of Dogs. A true EastEnder and she was actually one of tho people feature in the Channel 4 programme “The Real Eastenders”
along with her lovely great grandson Brendan. Quite a character and what you saw was what you got. If she was your friend great but she didn’t take prisoners. We will really miss her as will many people (seen here at the Island of Light with Alan Albiston who I hasten to add is an excellent medium a true worker for the spirit world). Unfortunately we won’t be able to get to the funeral as we must self- isolate due to my brothers pending cataract operation.
Just to let those of you know who knew Barbara the funeral is on the 22nd of September. Ot will start from her flat at 1 pm and go to the East London Cemetery 2 pm at Canning Town. Anyone is welcome to go
We still don’t know when we will be able to get our circles or workshops up and running again
Problems around this seem to go on and on. It seems it will be more than likely next year now. Our forum will continue for the moment. It does make me wonder if we ever will ever be able to teach again.
