Some while ago we were told that part of our mission was to help set students on course to teach and we are pleased to say this has now come to fruition.  Alex Camies did her first workshop on dreams at Stockwell Spiritualist Church last Saturday and we have received very positive feedback in regard to this.  Well done Alex and lets hope many more workshops will follow.  We are very pleased for her and wish her much success on her spiritual path.  We would also like to recommend a workshop at Woodford Spiritualist Church (www.woodfordchurch.com) this coming Saturday the 7th March with Stephanie Barrows "Spring Clean with Spirit and Clear your Pathway to Progress" (see website for details).  Our next workshop is on the 15th March and will start at 11.30 am and finish at 4 pm "Inspired Spiritual Creativity" and of course our awareness group is on Friday nights.   We have workshops coming up in docklands and also at Epping, but more details of these in our next posts. Our give a gnome a home has produced fruit and we were able to put a coloured advertisement in "Spirit Messenger" this month and we have raised enough for the following month.  These two are our latest offerings "Robin the Red" and his brother "Rufus the Red" and Robin is now winging his way to Bexhill on Sea to live with Joan.  We will continue and hopefully they will help fund the centre as well as capturing the hearts of many people.  All areknitted with love and their characters are equally different.

I do hope everyone is keeping warm in this sudden cold weather.  I understand this morning in some parts of Kent it was snowing.  Tomorrow we are back at the Island Of Light holding the fort for our dear friend Barbara Barnes.  The service starts at 6.30 pm and everyone is welcome.  The medium this week is Alan Bray. Unfortunately due to circumstances beyond our control we have had to cancel the workshop on the Tuesday 24th February at South Woodford Spiritualist Church. Our next workshop at the church will now be on Sunday the 15th March (www.woodfordchurch.com).  The picture on the left was executed by one of the students at our last workshop and it is in fact one of my South American Guides.  I was certainly blessed.  I am very pleased to have it as it is a lovely piece of work.  This young man certainly has the makings of a fine spirit/psychic artists and we look forward to seeing more of his work.  On the 18th of March we are back at Epping with Daniel Naughane leading a taster workshop of Sound Healing with Colour. Then on the 22nd March we will be at The Island of Light with a short workshop "Meet Your Guides and Helpers" plus two more workshops following this, but more details of these later this month.  The dates just for all of your information are the 27th March in Ware and the 31st March at Woodford.  Meanwhile I would like to recommend two workshops both taking place on the 28th February the first at Woodford Spiritualist Church with our friend Judith Thorne - it is called "Mediumship Matters".  Starts at 12 noon and finishes at 3 pm.  Lastly Alex Camies will be doing her first workshop at Stockwell Spiritualist Church (www.stockwellspiritualistchurch.co.uk)  on dreams and for those of you who are going please prepare a small piece on a dream you had.  Alex will help you unravels its mysteries.  It starts at 12 noon and finishes around 4pm.   A great opportunity to work with a lady with lots of knowledge on the subject.  I have also included another image produced at the workshop of a piece of very simple psychic art, which is nevertheless interesting and the dragon is a sheer delight.

We have had a very busy week, but not sure we have achieved a great deal.  At least Barbara Barnes now has a programme and I am asking you all to continue sending her healing. The medium on Sunday 15th February at 6.30 pm will be Graham Watson. We need to extend a big thank you to Alex Camies for designing the brochure whilst I did the bookings and I am sure you will agree she has done a grand job.  Please remember also that Alex has a workshop on the 28th February at Stockwell Spiritualist Church and also on the Island of Light later this year on dreams.   On Friday we have our on going awareness group which starts Saturday 14th February "Inspired Spiritual Creativity"  and it starts at 11am and finishes at 4 pm.  Everyone welcome whatever level you are.  Next week we are back at Epping on the 18th with "Colour in Healing"  Again more details in our next post.  We were pleased to see a glimpse of the sun this week and I now feel Spring is around the corner.  We need to start thinking about moving forward. We would like to thank the students who came to both are recent courses and we look forward to next month with pleasure.  I hope to be able to photograph some of their work soon and post it on here, but here are a few of the results from the "Make Your Own Oracle Cards" course last Tuesday incorporating the Runes. There were also some lovely inspirational pieces written by both Sharon and Anita. We will be adding more from time to time.  Don't forget that our awareness group is on Friday at 7.15 pm and also we are holding the fort at The Island of Light while Barbara Barnes is recovering from her knee operation (please continue sending healing) this coming Sunday the  1st February at 6.30 pm and the medium is John Rooney. Lets hope they got the weather forecast wrong as if not we may be forced into cancelling if the snow comes down hard and fast.  Our next workshop at Woodford is on Saturday February 14th replacing the one on the 22nd February.  We are back at Epping on the 18th February with another mini workshop, but more details in some of our future posts.

We are pleased to say that Barbara Barnes is making good progress.  We will be chairing at the Island of Light from next week on the 1st February.  The service starts at 6.30 and the medium on that evening is John Rooney who we can really recommend as well as being a lovely man he is an excellent medium.  More details in the week.  Both the meeting at Epping and that at Woodford last night were magic.  The energies at both were amazing and we are grateful for such lovely people.  Our only moan is distance, but if that's where spirit wants us then we will travel there. It is well worth it for the response  we are getting. Tomorrow the Sunday 25th of January we are back at Woodford for a series of workshops, which start tomorrow at noon and finish at 5 pm.  Bring yourselves and a packed lunch although there are three supermarkets nearby.  The title of the workshop is Inspired Spiritual Creativity and cost £10 and then on Tuesday 27th January also starting at noon we will be having a new workshop "Make Your Own Oracle Cards" which can be used to meditate on or create your own unique pack of cards.  The cost of this is £20 to cover materials as well as the tuition.  Again bring your own lunch, but at both of these workshops teas and biscuits etc. will be provided.  I would also like to recommend a workshop on the 31st January with Sharon Law called "Creative Spirit of the Soul".  Sharon's workshops are always fun and I know those of you who attend it will enjoy it - it is from noon to 3 pm and the cost £5 for members and £6 for non members.  Full details of these three are on their website www.woodfordchurch.com Our give a gnome a home campaign is going well and I am now knitting girl gnomes as well as owls and now mobile covers with key rings.  Funds raise go to promoting our sanctuary. I must say 2015 has started off with a bang.  We are please to announce that Barbara Barnes went into hospital yesterday and had her operation.  The Island of Light will be closed until 1st February when we will be at the helm until Barbara has recovered from her operation.  The medium for that day will be John Rooney who is an excellent medium.  The service will start at 6.30 pm and we will be grateful for any support.  Our next piece of news is that we are proud to announce that one of our students Alex Camies will be running her own workshops on dreams linking it to intuition and it will be a very different kind of workshop.  The first one will be at Stockwell Spiritualist Church on the Saturday 28th February starting at 12 noon till 4 pm - Cost £8 for non members and £6 for members.  Tonight we are back at Woodford Spiritualist Church (www.woodfordchurch.com) with our awareness group which starts at 7.15 pm for a cost of just £3.  Then on Wednesday we are at Epping with a workshop Colour in Intuition and this will help you bring colour into your life more and make you realise how important it in and the insights it can bring £6 which includes light refreshments and a free raffle.   Our  give a gnome a home is going fairly well and it will certainly help to give us  money to advertise the sanctuary.   The little fellow here has already has a new home and has gone to live by the seahttp://grandgnometour.blogspot.com  Keep warm everyone and we will be up dating this blog as soon as we have more news.
