Grandma Gnomey Nora and other news

Firstly we will be running a workshop in docklands on the 31st August "Seeing and Sensing Auras" it starts at 6.30 pm and will finish around 8.30 pm.  It will be a fun and if you thing you are psychic or know you are psychic come along for this taster.  Its only £4 and I am sure you will enjoy it.  Please feel free to invite and tell you friends about it.  The address of this event is The Barkantine Hall, Westferry Road, London E14 8JH and it next door to the Took Public House up the slope. Transport from Canary Wharf  buses to Crossharbour are 135, D7 and D3 or Island Gardens buses across road outside station.  We are also running another evening workshop on Tuesday 2nd September at 7.30 we are at the Clayton Centre, 32 Barnet Road, Potters Bar EN6 2QU.  It is called "Journey Into a Past Life" and starts at 7.30.   The awareness group at Grove Park will still be running and Alex Camies has agreed to do a mini workshop on dreams "Your dreams and You" helping you to interpret your own dreams and the symbols within then.  Alex will deny being an expert, but her knowledge and expertise is exceptional cost £5 and bring a short dream with you.  The awareness group at Woodford Spiritualist Church is growing bit by bit.  On the subject of Woodford Spiritualist Church (www.woodfordchurch.com) we will be doing tarot readings at the cake and tea day for Macmillian on the 26th September, which I believe starts at around 11 am more details nearer the time.  Our give a gnome a home campaign is still underway and at long last Grandma Gnomey Nora was finished together with glasses and walking stick.  We are still looking for small pearl beads to make a necklace (any ideas guys).  Don't forget we will be supporting International Peace Day on the 21st September and there will be peace giveaways.  We also have a lot more new ideas and are a wee bit closer to finding the sanctuary. 

Matisse and yet it isn't

Now a little update on our blog - firstly don't forget this coming Saturday 23rd August starting at 11 am is a workshop with Alan Albiston "The Magic of Nature Worship" an excellent tutor and a great workshop at Woodford Spiritualist Church (www.woodfordchurch.com).  We will be attending this too and don't forget to bring a packed lunch.  Again I am adding some of the wonderful pictures done at the recent workshops and I hope this is the start of many peoples continuing creative journey whilst linking into spirit. The remarkable picture on the right is so Matisse and the lady concerned who executed it has no idea of who Matisse was and this other little picture below is one of the encaustic wax picture and I will try and show you other works by these students during the next month.  It so exciting seeing the different guides working with them and seeing this transferred to paper whether in picture form of by words of inspiration.  I came upon this piece penned at one of the workshops in 1998 by Denise Williams who I since have unfortunately lost contact with and take great pleasure in sharing it with you.

Don't forget also that we will be doing two workshops there on the 31st August at 6,30 pm "Sensing and Seeing Auras" and " Colour in Intuition" on the 7th September again at 6.30 pm.  I am being to realise more and more there is a need for circles and those of you living near Woodford Spiritualist Church are very fortunate indeed as there are so many circles available to people for those teaching in the evening apart from ourselves with the awareness group are Susan Griffiths, Sharon Law, Shelley Joseph, Pat Murray and Leo Bonomo. I am constantly being asked if I know of any good circles and I can without hesitation recommend Maggie Jones who can be reached by email via myself.  As far as I know Maggie has both a trance and normal development circle running but you would have to check this yourselves with her. I do believe there is a need for more teaching and more awareness groups, circles and workshops.  On 21st September is "International Day of Peace" and I am hoping that you will all join me in the following idea by doing something nice for three people  that day and I may well extend mine into a weekly event as I feel if we all did this the world would be a nicer place.  It does not have to be something costly or grand as a simple smile is often a way of lightening someone's day.  Maybe a call overseas to someone or buy a bunch of flowers for the old lady across the road or maybe do some shopping.   Lets promote PEACE and bring an end to conflict.  One lady who always strives to bring this about is sixties icon Julie Felix who will be  in concert with other musicians and singers at "Charlton House" that day (telephone 0208 858 9497).  My contribution to that day will be a knitted gnome, a reading and a place on one of our workshops so if you want to be in with a chance of this please message me on the blog telling me why you would like which prize.  There is a comments box below. Don't forget our "Give a Gnome a Home" and also we now have owls profits of which go to furthering the cause of a sanctuary, which has moved a wee bit further forward.  More news of that when its concrete.

What a brilliant and interesting workshop last Tuesday as there were such interesting encaustic wax pictures produced and all so very different.  It was really exciting and I will be posting these and works done at the previous workshop over the next month or so.  It is so nice to be able to share the work done by students and exciting. Both awareness groups are now up and running.  Both are growing not at the speed of lightening but little by little.  The one at Woodford Spiritualist Church (www.woodfordchurch.com) varies between 7 to 12 people and the one at Grove Park between 3 to 6, but its is early days for both.  The blend of people so far has been perfect and everyone is enjoying that they are learning and also adding to the group themselves.  We always say we learn as much from the students as they do from us.  So its Tuesday evening at Grove Park and Friday at Woodford.  The Tuesday group starts at 7.30 pm and the Friday group 7 pm.  We are also looking forward to the workshop with Alan Albiston on the 23rd August at Woodford Spiritualist Church, which starts at 11 am and please bring something of nature with you on the day. Don't forget we are at the Barkantine Hall in Westferry on Sunday doing readings at Barbara Barnes's Special starts at 6.30 but best to get there early as its very popular (Buses D3, D7 and 135 towards Crossharbour and Poplar pass by the door. What a lovely workshop yesterday. I was delighted at the result and on the right is just one of the pieces of spirit art produced. Each member of the group produced quite unique pieces and one certainly looked as if it was influenced by Matisse and I will publish this in a later post and let you reach your own conclusion.   This piece was produced from "Co-Create with Spirit", which takes place once a month at Woodford Spiritual Church (www.woodfordchurch)  on a Sunday and we would be delighted to have new participants who wish to take a plunge with spirit and inspirational art plus other forms of development. The next workshop in this series will be on the 14th September.  Tomorrow we have our "Intuitive Ways with a Sketchbook" and which starts at 1 pm and we will be playing around with encaustic waxes as we have had so many requests to do this again.   So if you fancy this please join us.  We are quite excited as on Wednesday we are going to see a new hall, which we are hoping will serve us for future workshops.  Our awareness group at Woodford is growing and it varies between 7 and 14 people but of course its hard to tell the final results as its the Summer holidays.  Again if you are interested in joining us it starts at 7 pm and I hasten to add we are a very friendly group.  On Sunday 17th we will be at the Island of Light in Westferry Road, Isle of Dogs E14 8JH doing readings at Barbara Barnes's Special.  As far as I know the mediums will be myself Patricia McNally, Daniel Naughnane, Coleen Rechere, Lorna Hunte and Les Green. We are still knitting like mad and giving readings to help fund our spiritual venture and we hope this hall is a step in the right direction.

Memories

When ever I see these roses it reminds me of James Cameron who is now in spirit.  I wanted to post this picture on here in his memory as he first message he gave to us after he passed to spirit was when we saw these something nice was about to happen.  I also felt it would be nice to connect to nature and remind you all Alan Albiston's workshop "The Magic of Nature Worship" is on the 23rd August starting at 11 am till I believe 4 pm.  We can highly recommend this workshop.  Please come along and support it.  Don't forget tomorrow the 10th August  we have our on going course "Co-Create With Spirit" which starts 12 noon till 4 pm Cost: £6 and then on August 12th  "Intuitive Ways with a Sketchbook" 1 pm to 5.30 pm Cost: £10 (all these courses are at Woodford Spiritual Church) www.woodfordchurch.com.  We have found another locality for our awareness group and everyone is welcome - it will start at 7.30 pm and finish at 9.30 pm and the new address is The Grove Park Under 5's Club, Somertrees Avenue, London SE12 0BX (next to the Grove Park Library) a short walk from Grove Park Station and on both the 273 and 284 bus routes.  We have unfortunately had to raise the cost to £5, but it is a nicer room.  I do intend to run some workshops at a later date and those attending this will be given a small discount.  On Sunday 30th August at the Barkantine Hall, Westferry Road, E14 8JH from 6.30 to around 830  "Seeing and Sensing Auras" Cost £4 and on the following Sunday 7th September at 6.30 to 8.30 " Colour Your Intuition" Cost £4 - These workshops are suitable for all.  Also on Tuesday 2nd September at 7.30 we are at the Clayton Centre, 32 Barnet Road, Potters Bar EN6 2QU and obviously our group at Grove Park will not take place that day, but this workshop was arranged last year and obviously we honour our books it starts at 7.30 and everyone is welcome.  The workshop is called "Journey Into a Past Life".  I would also like to thank Edmonton Spiritualist Church for making us so welcome last Thursday and for Lorna Hunte joining us on the rostrum working in such an unusual way and nevertheless bringing messages of upliftment.  On Sunday17th August we are at the Island of Light for a special with Barbara Barnes so if you want a reading please come along at 6.30 as there will be lots of mediums apart from Daniel and myself (I believe readings are £8 each but check with Barbara).  We are available for party books and if  you have a party of 4 or more people we will be willing to travel to you to do readings - host gets a free reading and the others are £20 each and we are also still making various items to help fund a future spiritual sanctuary http://craftladyrainbow.blogspot.com.  For more details of any of these events or future events please ring 07927 288904 or email rainbowhealingsanctuary@hotmail.co.uk

Pleased Mike's back

Last Sunday Daniel and I visited the Spiritual Mission in the heart of Notting Hill Gate in London and  have decided to add a few pictures of this beautiful little church.  I still miss Rosalind Cattanach and her many dogs especially Rosie and Tres.  We went to see our dear friend Mike Hunter who is an excellent mediums as well as a brilliant teacher.  We would recommend that any of you who have the chance go and see this gentleman work.  Firstly I would like to have a few words about an awareness group as there seems to be some confusion in regard to this.  Awareness Groups are not circles they are getting back to basics and include such things as learning to open up to spirit, protecting and grounding, discussing the philosophy, a history of things pertaining to spiritual development such us the different between clairvoyance, clairsentience etc.  We will also discuss thing such as those pioneers of the past such as the Fox Sisters and Helen Duncan or more recent renown mediums and teachers such as Gordon Higginson. In fact tonight we are discussing Helen Duncan at Woodford Spiritualist Church (www.woodfordchurch.com) and the awareness circle takes place every Friday evening at 7pm till 9pm.  Everyone welcome and entrance is £3.  These awareness circles are not only for beginners but those who feel their knowledge is scant or wish to go back to basics.  We obviously hope those beginners who come will at a later date progress to an open circle then onward and upwards.  We are also running one in Grove Park as we are moving venues and details of this will be announced later.  It will recommence hopefully all being well on the 19th August and the cost will be £5.  We also have two on going courses at Woodford on this Sunday is the continuing workshops of Co-Create With Spirit and on the following Tuesday Intuitive Ways with a Sketchbook (all workshops stand alone and you do not have to come to all of them). We would be interested in hearing  comments and discussions regarding this.  Please feel free to comment on this post.
